I love Eva Ibbotson. I'm sad this is her last book but I really enjoyed it. It is a cute adventure that teaches you about goodness (and of course everything coming out all right).

Later, they travel to a town on the banks of the Yellow River, where Burnish Industries corners them. Peng helps them escape by unleashing a yak stampede. With the help of Jin, they escape across the Yellow River to a field of yellow flowers, which Everest causes to move like waves, creating more distance from their pursuers. B. Everest the yeti might be a mythical creature, but the teen characters don't just seem authentic --- they're all voiced by Asian actors or actors of Asian descent. (One bonus piece of trivia: Trainor, the voice of Jin, is the grandson of legendary climber Tenzing Norgay, who -- along with Sir Edmund Hillary -- was the first to summit Mt. Everest.) This tale about a family of yetis was a fun read, although I wouldn't have known it was an Eva Ibbotson story if her name wasn't on the cover. After being familiar with her characters being witches and talking ghosts, I guess yetis weren't too unusual, but the characters did feel a bit thin. My favourite character was Hubert the yak, whom I feel was the only character that showed development (ironic, as he doesn't talk).
