If not for that inspirational value, like if that does nothing for you, it still has a ton of value as just a fun watch. Everyone’s sweaty and knackered, rightfully so, the scoreline is 6-6, or at least that’s what you think cause you never really keep track of the score during games.

If you want an exciting and typical anime experience, this is recommended, even if you're not a soccer fan (I am not either).It has episodes where it feels perfectly paced and yet they highlighted the character arcs and cool talents of like seven people in a row, and it feels perfectly satisfying and inspirational at the same time. Oh oh, and something else i forgot, we have very skilled mechanical goalkeepers, well, not mechanical, projections but with some touching mircohips bollocks scientific explanation, whatever, we do have those, but for the whole first let's say arc, we decided not to use them, and let some strikers who have never worn goalkeeper's gloves in their lives decide the outcome of the macthes? When you lean into that supernatural realm without actually doing anything meaningful with it–Or when they don’t iron out properties of these supernatural concepts like in the case of Blue Lock, it just becomes nonsensical mumbo jumbo. Another crucial problem with only having strikers is, you only have a limited amount of qualities and unique skills to give around where players can excel at: Pace, finishing, hold-up play, off the ball movement, spatial awareness to name the key ones.
