About this deal

The neroli in this fragrance isn't too soapy on my skin; its sweetness is tempered by the greenness and dryness of the citron and bitter orange.

After the three enthusiastic summer 2018 comments from Scarletrose, Schoork and, as always, Fittleworth, I take the liberty with all due respect to pour a little water into the dessert wine. I think this will possibly become my signature scent and it shows that you don't have to spend a fortune to get a good quality product. And lastly, as far as a "fragrance being worth the hype" that is not a decision that can be made by you or any other reviewer. So we bought it and since we do not live together and the fragrance came to me, I was allowed :-) because the man was curious first test.

So the whole thing was a pleasant mind-F because so often fragrances open too feminine and die down masculine. According to my perception, the backbone of the work, if the scent pyramid is correct, is rather bitter orange, orange blossom and rosemary, whereby this should not lead to the assumption that bitter bitterness and herbaceous spiciness set the tone, too much dense floral sweetness is involved here. BN is more complex and long lasting but it’s almost impossible not to think about the hot days in summer, when the old women in Barcelona poured on themselves Nenuco Cologne to cool down. Considering the hype it's received and the powerful opening, I was extremely surprised by the lack of longevity.

Top notes are citron, lemon and bitter orange; middle notes are orange blossom, neroli, sichuan pepper and rosemary; base notes are vetiver, patchouli and amber. So I read some very benevolent and enthusiastic opinions about the Bright Neroli from Ferrari and thought to myself, I must have this one, it is not expensive. Now let’s review it as it is, yes it is a classic men’s fragrance, 4711 ish, smells like expensive soap with neroli and citrus notes, at first the neroli is not too prominent, wait 5min you’ll love the balance the neroli and pepper brings. Earthy bottom, an outer bubble/shell of citrus, and the space inside filled with florals and light spice. These citrus elements harmonize to form a zesty and invigorating opening that sets the tone for the fragrance.

Experiencing this scent is like catching a whiff of a blossoming grove from a distance on a warm pleasant day. It doesn't come across as feminine though, and while perfectly unisex, this is a great male summer light scent when you need to smell elegantly clean for a few hours. I find it interesting that others are saying it is more feminine, but since I am used to looking through the world with a feminine lens that could be why. The opening is slightly sweeter and has accents of orange peel through and through, but it is also drier and very slightly powdery on my skin. This one seems like it had a bit of thought behind it, and if you said it was designer I would believe you.If you are a fan of these style of scents (including 4711, Zegna Mediterranean Neroli, Acqua di Parma Colonia) you should give this a try.

Let’s be real: Citrus fragrances are not long lasting and throughout a day of wearing one, you ARE going to be reapplying. Eventually as the drydown evolves further, the citrus pops it’s head up more than one would expect, on the bed of a very faint amber and patchouli - the heart with all of its quirks remains, even as the fragrance fades into the distance. If you're not scrutinizing the scent composition and simply enjoy the pleasant wafts in the air, it does successfully evoke its "eau de cologne" origins. Such as Tom Ford Neroli Portofino , Mugler Cologne , Aqua Universalis Forte, Original Vetiver Just to name a few.
