There was just something about the iconic bottle, the almost totemic name, “Fahrenheit”, the aura it gave off, that appealed to me.

the rum and vanilla is going to give you the opening of absolute but the dry down of absolute is complete different to La Parfum. The fragrance dons a vibrant and sensual accord featuring violet and leather accents enhanced with Bourbon vanilla absolute. Heart of the composition provides a new blend of aromas by mixing violet leaf absolute and rum absolute spiced with coriander and caraway. I like it a lot but doubt I need a bottle as I have DHP 100ml which is more interesting and stronger.Full disclosure, I am very rarely a fan of powdery notes in anything, so you may have a better experience with it if you are. You still get a bit of that gasoline ish vibe at the top but it quickly dies down to a pleasant and cozy vanilla bourbon. Even better though, I think this would just be an amazing night out or dating fragrance for maybe someone a little bit more mature, maybe going to a classy cocktail lounge or somewhere that they have a live jazz band. To my nose, it's more elegant, beautiful, and interesting than either of those, and less synthetic-smelling (to those who are sensitive to certain aromachemicals.

However, nowadays the original is only good for throwback Thursdays :) It is very "time-stamped" frag and does not smell modern or timeless. I think one needs a serious presence/charisma to pull off the original EDT - which is bold, and not a crowdpleaser - , and the Parfum version is a mainstream money grabber that seems targeted to younger crowds (and women) and whoever doesn't feel confident enough to wear the original but wants to wear a fragrance with the legendary "Fahrenheit" name written on the bottle. Very much reminds me of the OG i've owned back in 1989(i have never owned any other reformulated version since). There is enough violet leaf notes to raise out some nostalgia in me, while modernizing this DNA even further and giving it a proper update. And because of that, why keep it if im not going to reach for it over my other frags im obsessed to wear?I did not like this at first because I smelled it on paper only and also next to some more mass pleasing scents. The leaves of the violet produce a unique and powerful fragrance with green, vegetable and ever so slightly flowery notes. I was expecting a strong leather scent, but the leathery note it's somehow in the backgroud, combined with vanilla and some woods. It reminds me of a gentleman's lounge but with a more modern twist—my go-to winter and fall night out scent.

Naturally when I saw that Fahrenheit Parfum had a bourbon vanilla note I was intrigued to say the least. So, although I looooove the opening of the original scent, I'm not using it so much now because of the funky dry down of this new bottle.Maybe it’s just a matter of taste and preference, but this is quite the elaborate fragrance whereby reactions will be divisive.

Dior Fahrenheit Parfum, Dior Sauvage Elixir, Dior Homme Parfum, and Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum, are grown up man fragrances, as in they project power and success, they can be a tad intimidating. WARNING: THE LISTS OF INGREDIENTS THAT MAKE UP THE COMPOSITION OF PARFUMS CHRISTIAN DIOR PRODUCTS ARE REGULARLY UPDATED. This has the original fahrenheit DNA but the gasoline smell is toned down with vanilla, mandarin and rum notes. As the orange mellows the middle notes of coriander and cumin heat up like a pleasant smelling sulfuric reaction.

You either get anosmic, your skin devours fragrances (but doesn’t happen with otters), or you got fake fragrances, or fragrances in real bottles but the liquid is something else. I love the scent but the longevity is not great maybe 6-7 hours, and also very close to the skin after 2,5 hours, if people get close to you to smell you then they will love the scent and definitely you will get a compliment. This fragrance is the embodiment of virility and sophistication, and it's perfect for those who appreciate intense and long-lasting scents.
